Welcome to the Kauai Junior Golf Association (“KJGA”). Our junior golf program was founded in the 1960s by Chica Ishii, Mitchell Ota, Toyo Shirai, and Tom Tomimoto. Along with their love for the game, these men shared a passion for introducing young people to golf and helping them grow their skills both on and off the course.
Today, as more young players discover the game, KJGA is proud to continue the tradition they started. Over the years, hundreds of juniors have come through the program, many developing a lifelong love for golf. Some have even gone on to compete at the amateur, collegiate, and professional levels.
The success of KJGA has always come from the support of dedicated parents, local businesses, golf professionals, volunteers, and community members across Kauai and throughout Hawaii. We’re excited to welcome you to the KJGA family and look forward to another great year together.
KJGA is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The program is supported through memberships, sponsorships, and community contributions. Donations made to the Association may be tax deductible as allowed by current tax laws.
